**ONLINE & IN-PERSON ACTING CLASSES AVAILABLE**

“Acting is the ability to behave absolutely truthfully under the imaginary circumstances.” – Sanford Meisner

The Meisner Acting Technique is designed to get you out of your head. Learn to put your focus and attention on the other actor.

Learn the practical hands-on approach to acting utilizing the Meisner technique. You will learn the foundation of Sanford Meisner: exercises in repetition independent activities, emotional preparation & scene work.

The focus of the Meisner approach is for the actor to “get out of their head,” so that the actor is behaving instinctively to the surrounding environment.

Sanford Meisner Acting Technique

In this class, students will learn the foundation of Sanford Meisner acting techniques. This includes exercises in repetition, independent activities, emotional preparation, and scene work.

The first half of each class is devoted to a series of concentration exercises to develop actors’ ability to relax and develop their memory, both sensory and emotional. The sensory memory exercises utilize imaginary objects that you deal with every day, so that actors can begin to create a simple reality for themselves.

The second half of the class consists of scene and monologue work, during which time you will apply what you have learned during the exercises to your roles. Improvisation is used to help create a realistic experience.

Besides teaching the Meisner acting technique, our acting school in LA believes in studying different methods such as the Stella Adler technique. The Stella Adler class explores the principles and language of Stella Adler’s approach to acting, including the action, circumstance, and justification trifecta. As students, you will develop a foundation from which to build yourselves as actors and human beings.
