We will help you to develop your own “Golden Box” of techniques and tools that you can use when approaching a role or a scene. Whether it be for film, television, or theater. The Acting School’s acting techniques are based on Meisner, Strasberg, Adler, Hagen, Chekhov & the Stanislavsky Technique.
Students may select from our course offerings and customize their own programs for a well-rounded training.
The following are examples of classes that can be selected:
The Actor’s “Golden Box”: Two-Day Acting Technique seminar with Michelle Danner
You will accumulate a comprehensive set of “acting tools” to use when approaching a role or a scene, whether it be for film, television, or theater. Discover the answers to the following questions: Why are some choices more powerful than others? How does one deliver a raw unforgettable performance? What specific tools can be applied to film, television, and stage work? How does one develop a personal story from scratch?
Michelle Danner’s experience in the industry as an actor and coach of Oscar nominated actors gives her a unique insight into the world of acting!

Scene Study
A scene study class is offered to beginners, intermediates & advanced students.
Actors are taught the foundations of technique through opening emotional exercises which are used to warm up the actor’s instrument and teach the tools that will be applied to their scene work. Students explore how to apply their back story to the characters they are creating by working on contemporary and classical scenes and monologues. Emphasis is placed on learning how to make the best physical, emotional, and vocal choices.
Improvisation:
Get out of your own head through fun improvisational games and exercises. Discover characters you never knew you could play by being thrown into situations where you don’t have time to think. Become more confident in you as a performer by taking chances in a non-judgmental environment. Voice and Speech Intensive
Have you experienced one or more of the following? People can’t hear you on stage- your voice has no power. You get emotional and your voice closes or pitches up. You have trouble connecting emotionally to material. Your stomach tightens right before you perform and you can’t breathe. Your voice is breathy-throaty-weak or high pitched. An intensive course for foreign-accented actors who need or want to sound American.
Film Script Analysis:
Analyze film scripts and work on scenes from different genres of screenplays, television, and plays. Students will learn and work through a thorough comprehension of breaking down story, characters, conflicts, and language from dramatic and comedic scripts. There will be in depth discussion of all the tools an actor applies to create their performance. The class will help to acquire the discipline to make powerful choices whether you are auditioning for a project or have booked the part.
