What if an actor has trouble remembering lines? What´s the best way to do memorization exercises? The last thing that I would recommend is to try to memorize lines. You should script analyze the scene and understand the script analysis of the scene in a deeply emotional way inside of you. What I mean by that is, if you look at the scene you know who´s this character, what do they want, what are the obstacles and what are they doing, and how´s the place feeling, are there any objects. You know, line by line the intention and I think if you can get clear about all that, the lines just come to you. It´s not about taking the line, it´s about making the lines yours by improvising them and para-phrasing them. There are different things you can do. One of the things that I do is after I’ve done all that work – and I think there is an App that does that – actually I’m pretty sure there is – you record the line of the other character and then you leave a space for your line and because you´re responding to somebody else is saying and its giving birth to something that you are doing/ The Los Angeles Acting Conservatory recognizes that every actor is unique.
