WHAT IS VOICE AND SPEECH CLASS ?

This class focuses on voice and text work with storytelling and solo work techniques. This class is taught by Barbara Bragg who holds an MFA from Yale Drama School and is Linklater trained. Barbara’s unique approach produces a full-bodied experience with Classical text and original material developed by a working actor. When you access your inner strength, you’ll not only improve your acting skills, but you’ll increase your bookings.

In this acting classes in los Angeles, students will prepare two fully memorised monologues. One contemporary and one Shakespearian. The contemporary monologue can be from a film, TV show or from the theatre.

I have taken Voice and Speech at The Michelle Danner Acting Studio for a little more than three months now, and I can truly feel the progression and the development I have made as an actress. So far I have taken small steps but I am heading towards my main goal which is to become stronger and more skilled. I have learned so much as I have been directed and used different methods to project my voice. Furthermore, I have learned how to be more calm and relaxed before and while performing.
