MEISNER TECHNIQUE
Meisner Technique is designed to teach students how to be truthful in every moment and respond from their instincts rather than their intellect by finding out how they would respond in a whole slew of imaginary circumstances, first as themselves and then as someone quite different from themselves. This technique differs from others like the Adler technique in how it relies on truthfulness in hypothetical circumstances rather than emotional recall that uses memories from actual real life experiences.
The Michelle Danner Los Angeles Acting School’s philosophy is that artists can draw upon all different acting techniques from Meisner, Strasberg, Adler, Hagen, Chekhov, & the Stanislavsky Technique and form a toolbox of their own, their very own Golden Box.
Meisner technique has made a number of actors successful both critically including: Grace Kelly, Gregory Peck, Diane Keaton, James Franco, Naomi Watts, Jack Nicholson, Anthony Hopkins, Kim Basinger, Jeff Bridges, Jeff Goldblum, David Mamet, Steve McQueen, Robert Duval, Allison Janney, David Duchovny, Allison Janney, Kathy Bates, Robert Duvall and Stephen Colbert.
She is a renowned acting coach and works with many A-List Actors privately as well as on set. These include James Franco, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Zooey Deschanel, Chris Rock, Gerard Butler, Seth MacFarlane, Melanie Brown, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Verne Troyer, Grant Bowler, Kate Del Castillo, Michael Pena, Catherine Bell, Gabrielle Union, Rob Estes, Rick Fox, and Michelle Rodriguez and many others.
Michelle trained with Stella Adler and Uta Hagen.
