CASTING CALL | A24 FILM starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson
We’re currently casting a major role in the A24 feature film “The Drama,” starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, and written and to be directed by Kristoffer Borgli. We are conducting a US national search to find someone who can play a young Zendaya (ages 13 to 16). We were wondering if you have anyone in mind that you have worked with that could be a potential match for the YOUNG EMMA role and/or if you would be able to pass the information along to your network!Don’t worry if they do not have acting experience; we are open to newcomers as well as actors for this role. Casting Call:
“The Drama” involves a couple whose romance changes dramatically before their big day. This role is the younger version of Zendaya’s character shown in flashbacks (heavily featured in the film).
We are looking for:
YOUNG EMMA – 13 to 16 years old, Mixed Ethnicity girl of Black and caucasian heritage. Should bear resemblance to a Young Zendaya. Young Emma is a troubled teenager growing up in a small suburb, craving acceptance and approval from her peers. However, when she feels excluded, her frustration turns into resentment. Though intelligent, she is misguided, often concealing her inner turmoil. On the surface, Emma seems fairly normal, but beneath the facade, she harbors peculiar fixations.
Work dates: 4-5 days in late October or November (2 to 3 shoot days and 2 travel days) and 1 week in New Orleans early 2025. There will be an on set tutor for anyone under 18 to make up for any missed school days. Casting Call.

If on a weekly schedule – $4,180 per week (+10% if with agency)
If on a daily schedule – $1,204 per day (+10% if with agency)
