Keep being artistic. It sounds like work, but work that you love. Because if it’s truly what you are passionate about doing. You won’t be able to go a day without it.
Cate Blanchett said “But I kept doing it, trying not to do it and then doing it. There’s such a blessed unrest that you feel all the time, but maybe that’s what keeps you going.” The “blessed unrest” drove her and drove her to even take a break from acting in film. She and her husband opened the Sydney Theatre Comedy. And five years later came back to the screen with Blue Jasmine and won an Oscar for it. Her motto was: Never stop being creative. Even at her level of skill and success, she never stopped pushing herself as an artist, creator, and storyteller.
The Michelle Danner Acting Studio recognizes that every actor is unique. We help students to develop their own “Golden Box” of techniques and tools that they can use at any time. The Acting School’s acting techniques are based on the Meisner Technique, Lee Strasberg’s Method, Stella Adler. Stanislavski’s System, and the Chekhov technique.
We will teach you to develop your very own acting toolbox called the “Golden Box.” You will accumulate a comprehensive set of “acting tools” when approaching a role or a scene. Whether it be for film, television, or theater.
