We are casting a new WB/NBC pilot called “Wolf” (see brief logline below).
Storyline: Inspired by Oliver Sacks’ extraordinary life and work, WOLF follows a renegade, larger-than-life neurologist, DR. - We are looking for a few series regular roles of medical interns (20 – mid 30s).
- We would love to inquire if you have any students that you feel would be right for any of these roles.
- We are particularly focusing on local NY Hires

NEW CLASS Meisner Technique – Level 1
Learn one of the acting techniques that helps create powerful and truthful actors! You will learn the foundation of Sanford Meisner: exercises in repetition independent activities, emotional preparation & scene work. The second half of the class consists of scene and monologue work, during which time you will apply what you have learned in the exercises to your roles.
Starting Monday, March 27th from 7pm-10pm
Scene study acting class with Josef
Will focus on script analysis, the world of the play wright, finding your authentic self in the works, connecting to your partner, and living moment to moment.
This class gives the actor a safe place to take risks, face challenges, stretch outside their comfort zones, unleash their imaginations, and keep their bodies/voices/minds alive and finely tuned thru relaxation, breath exercises.

You will receive 2 fully produced, edited, color-graded 30-second scenes. We will help you choose and prepare the right material that will showcase your acting strengths and uniqueness.
Demo Reels include:
*Consultation with director and writer. Location/Lighting/Color grading/Music: If needed/Editing/Direction & rehearsal/Production design.
Allow yourself time to rehearse and be comfortable with the scene/monologue you are planning to film.
Private coaching is available for an additional cost. Our editor can add your new footage to your existing reel for an additional charge.
Michelle Danner 2 day Scene Study Workshop
Wednesday April 19th and April 26th from 6.30pm.
In the class, Michelle will go over her famous Golden Box technique.
Actors will be assigned contemporary 8-to-10-minute scenes and partners before the workshop.
Exercises at the beginning and throughout the class will help students make the most creative choices.
Exercises include:
– relaxation exercises
– character exercises
– script analysis exercises
Students will perform the rehearsed scenes in the first class and get feedback and bring it back with adjustments for the next class.
$275 Dollars.
THE GOLDEN BOX 2 Day MASTERCLASS acting technique analysis
We will help you to develop your own “Golden Box” of techniques and tools that you can use when approaching a role or a scene, whether it be for film, television, or theater.
Discover the answers to the following questions:

How does one deliver a raw unforgettable performance?
What specific tools can be applied to film, television, and stage work?
How does one develop a personal story from scratch?
The Michelle Danner Acting Studio’s philosophy is that artists can draw upon all different acting techniques and form an individual toolbox, their own Golden Box. The Acting School’s acting techniques are based on Meisner, Strasberg, Adler, Hagen, Chekhov & the Stanislavsky Technique.

Stella Adler Technique – Level 1
You will learn the Stella Adler technique and explore the language and principles of Stella Adler’s approach to acting, including action, circumstance, and justification. You will develop a foundation from which to build yourself as an actor. Stella Adler believed that an actor’s talent lies within his imagination. She trained with Stanislavsky and studied the method but didn’t believe that an actor needs to relive past experiences to connect with the character.

The Stanislavski Technique – Level 1BEGINNER ACTING TECHNIQUE
The Stanislavski method is a set of techniques used by actors to portray emotions on stage by putting themselves in the place of the character. He believed in naturalistic performances that were as realistic as possible, and invented techniques that you can use to be a well-trained actor.

An actor’s movement, subtle or bold, is essential to a memorable performance.
You will learn how to develop and convey character through the exploration of movement.
You will also connect movement to sound to find your character’s voice.
