You always hear that this person gave such a performance with presence. How does that happen? Does an actor get Presence? Is that something that only certain people possess?

That´s a good question. I think it has to do with living your life and how you life your life and your generosity of spirit, who you are as a person, how you deal with stressful situations in your life and how do you come through? Who you are? That´s what gives you presence. I don´t think there is a class that can teach you presence.

Does an actor get Presence? There is presence in terms of being in the moment and showing up which you can achieve by doing different meditation exercises which is great because that also plugs you into the true part of yourself some real authenticity in yourself but the presence.
When you said presence where that took me to is  a real person that shows up not like present being in the moment and not thinking about something else which of course that´s important too, but something that extra thing that you walk in with the whole person not just parts of you. Los Angeles Acting Workshops |
